Instructions/Wish List
When trading with me, I would appreciate it if you use the following guidelines.
- Important Announcement as of 18-Oct-2008: I am now no longer actively trading. Life has taken over, leaving me little time for trades. If I do any trades from here on out, it will only be ones that I initiate. I will leave this page up as an information resource, as I know a few people have used it as a reference anyway. Thank you to all who have made my trading experience a fun one! This has truly been a great experience and a good lesson in musical education.
- I DO NOT sell my recordings. I only do trades.
- Please only use Disc-At-Once (DAO) when burning CD's for me. I don't like having 2 second gaps between tracks.
- I tend to be very brand-minded in order to get the best-quality and longest-lasting recording possible. When trading with me, only use the following brands (for both CD and DVD trades): Mitsui, Philips, Taiyo-Yuden, Kodak, Fuji, and TDK. Brands that I must insist that you stay away from are Memorex, Maxell, and Princo, as these brands have a history of extraction and degradation problems.
- Don't bother sending me jewel cases, as they tend to break in the mail.
- When shipping your discs, please keep them safe by enclosing them in some sort of sleeve or envelope. I typically use tyvek sleeves. If you absolutely have to stuff more than one per sleeve/envelope, please use some sort of safe barrier between discs to prevent unnecessary friction between discs.
- For DVD trades, please make sure DVDs are in NTSC format (the standard format for USA) and are not region-encoded.
- I have a very small collection of cover art scans. Feel free to browse through my collection. I've tried to gather cover art for each of my recordings, but alas, there are some that I do not have cover art for. Please send me any accompanying cover art, either in electronic or hard form. Also, if you happen to find cover art that might go with any of my recordings, please let me know.
- If you've noticed, I've included wherever possible, the band name, the date, location/venue, and track listing. Please send me this information so that I can keep my listings updated.
- Please do not send me any MP3-sourced recordings.
- If you make the initial request, and I have never traded with you before, I will wait until I receive your discs before I send out mine. This is to protect me, as I have been burned by bad traders in the past. Don't worry, I've never cheated anyone out of discs they've been owed.
Happy Trading!
