Baby Bok Choy
Here's a quick little vegetable dish that goes fairly well as a side to most Asian dishes. This one that I can truly call an original. The real fun in this one is the actual cooking. Make sure you have a good stock pot for this one.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. baby bok choy, preferably leafed
- 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
Directions
- Thoroughly rinse bok choy.
- Heat oil until piping hot in a large stock pot.
- Toss in minsed garlic.
- Toss bok choy into pop. Immediately turn heat down to low.
- Put in broth, lemon pepper, garlic salt, and hoisin sauce.
- Cover, and shake the pot to mix ingredients well. Do this for about 1 minute.
- Remove from heat, and serve. Be sure to get the sauce at the bottom of the pot.
