Baby Bok Choy

Here's a quick little vegetable dish that goes fairly well as a side to most Asian dishes. This one that I can truly call an original. The real fun in this one is the actual cooking. Make sure you have a good stock pot for this one.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. baby bok choy, preferably leafed
  • 3 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp lemon pepper
Directions
  1. Thoroughly rinse bok choy.
  2. Heat oil until piping hot in a large stock pot.
  3. Toss in minsed garlic.
  4. Toss bok choy into pop. Immediately turn heat down to low.
  5. Put in broth, lemon pepper, garlic salt, and hoisin sauce.
  6. Cover, and shake the pot to mix ingredients well. Do this for about 1 minute.
  7. Remove from heat, and serve. Be sure to get the sauce at the bottom of the pot.
