Pros: casual dining, cute picnic table setup
Cons: BBQ sauce is not very spicy
Our Slopes BBQ experience is pretty much limited to the Sandy Springs location. As any BBQ dining experience should be, Slopes BBQ offers a very casual dining experience. What made this one even cuter was that the decor was made up of picnic tables (and smiling pigs), which made for a very backyard feel to the restaurant.
The ribs (that's what we really love about BBQ) were very well cooked, so that they melt off the bone and into your mouth. Our main complaint, however, was that the sauce did not offer much spice. Although it had a nice vinegary taste to it, it just was not hot enough.
The sides were very respectable. The green beans and corn-on-the-cob were very tasty. As with any proper BBQ, there has to be a good dessert to follow it up, and the cobbler a la mode hit the spot just right.
Come for the ribs, but leave room for dessert!
