Ria's Bluebird
421 Memorial Drive SEAtlanta, GA 30312
(404) 521-3737
Pros: Healthy menu, west coast atmosphere
Cons: limited seating, the best stuff isn't on the printed menu
If you want a healthy brunch, this is one of the best places to visit in the Atlanta area. The dishes on the menu tend to reflect southern cooking with a hint towards the more healthy. However, do not limit yourself to what is on the menu. The day's specials are often the star dishes (such as an Eggs Benedict with a mole sauce in place of the hollandaise sauce) and leave you wanting more.
When you come here, either come early or be ready to wait. Seating is very limited, although there is a little alcove hidden away that reveals more seating. The decor has a west coast vibe that sent this Californian into a nostalgic mood longing for the days of hanging out on Telegraph Ave in Berkeley.
This is definitely a place not to miss. Be aware that this is a brunch-only restaurant, meaning that it closes at about 3:00 PM every day.
