Pros: Family-owned, good tastin' southern cookin'

According to the website, "Put some south in your mouth!" This restaurant is definitely one for down home cookin'. Not only is it good southern food, but it is a good variety of southern foods. The country fried steak with gravy is tasty and tender. The fries are addictive. The vegetable sides are excellent. The BBQ ribs are tasty and come with a surprisingly good BBQ sauce that has a hint of fruit-sweetness.

As with most southern cooking, the menu items rely heavily on butter and frying, so you may wish to come here to reward yourself after a day of heavy hiking (we did!).

An added bonus is that when you come here, you will feel good about supporting a family-owned business as opposed to one of those chain operations.
