Pros: fabulous diner food, sinfully delicious desserts

Cons: towards the pricey side

Our first introduction to Mick's was its Midtown location through a special dining program that featured select restaurants and offered specific dishes for great prices. Our second visit was when we were trying to have dinner before a show at the Fox Theater. Both times, the food was fantastic. Think of Mick's as an upscale diner. The dishes you find look like what you would find at any standard diner, but spruced up in a big way. It's not just roasted chicken, but roasted pecan chicken.

This is one restaurant we insist that you save room for dessert. Two amazingly delicious desserts that we've had are their Three Layer Chocolate Cake and Oreo Cheesecake. Bring these two together, and you have a dessert worthy of selling your soul for.

The only major downside to Mick's is the price. If you stick with the simple pastas, sandwiches, and hamburgers, you'll okay, but if you go for one of the specialties, be prepared to toss down some serious cash.

Small (or rather large) price to pay for amazing diner food.
