Pros: community atmosphere, egg-ceptional egg breakfasts
Cons: be prepared to wait for seating
Our experience with The Flying Biscuit has been limited to the Buckhead and Piedmont locations, but our experiences were similar at both places. The Flying Biscuit has apparently become a staple of the Atlanta community. Due to its popularity, it seems to be perpetually full, so be prepared to wait when you come.
With the wait comes the reward, as The Flying Biscuit serves some amazing breakfast dishes. The oatmeal pancake and the eggs are particularly tasty. The menu tries to emphasize all-natural and hormone-free ingredients, so you can leave the restaurant feeling relatively guilt-free. The restaurant also fosters a community atmosphere. This is evident, as the wait staff is extremely friendly, and if you check their website, you'll even find some recipes for some of their more popular dishes.
You would think that with a name like Flying Biscuit, the biscuits would be astounding. The biscuits, themselves are nothing special to write home about, but the apple-butter that goes with it...well, that's another tasty story.
When you have guests in town and you don't feel like cooking breakfast, The Flying Biscuit is a great place to keep them fed and satisfied.
