Pros: This place actually pays attention to plating design
Cons: Can be a bit pricey
We do have to provide a disclaimer with this review: neither of us are big beer drinkers. You may ask, "How can you review a brewery if you don't review the beer?" Well, we can always review the food. And the food here is damn good!
The menu emphasizes the use of all-natural and locally-grown ingredients. It definitely pays off, as the dishes are delicious. We enjoyed two dishes: Duck Two Ways and Grilled Ravioli. The duck dish was delicious and hinted of a slightly Asian flair. The ravioli was an amazing mix of Cajun flavors.
If you watch Iron Chef regularly, you will know that one area that judges award points is the visual design of the dish. This is a place that would definitely earn top points in this respect. The duck was laid out with a nice bed of vegetables separating the halves of duck. In contrast, the different pieces of ravioli were stacked vertically with the sauce and peppers adding color to the dish.
The dishes are a little towards the pricey, so this isn't a place to go if you are living on a strict budget, but if you feel like rewarding yourself with amazing food, do try out this restaurant. And if you are so inclined, try out the beer too!
